Salinomycin 12% Premix is a valuable veterinary medication used to prevent and treat coccidiosis in poultry. Specifically, it targets the protozoan parasites of the genus Eimeria, which cause this debilitating disease. Salinomycin is an ionophore antibiotic produced by the fermentation of a strain of Streptomyces lasaliensis. It acts by transporting cations into the cell, disrupting the natural ion gradient and leading to cell death. The recommended dosage for chickens (broilers) is 40 to 60 grams of Salinomycin sodium per ton of feed (equivalent to 333 to 500 grams of product per ton of feed). It is administered orally through feed. Always follow the recommended guidelines and consult a veterinarian for optimal use
