Trimetazidine Hydrochloride (HCl), commonly known as trimetazidine, is a medication classified as a coronary vasodilator. Vasodilators work by relaxing the smooth muscle of arteries and veins, allowing blood to flow more freely. Trimetazidine is used to treat the following conditions: Angina : It helps manage chest pain that occurs when the heart doesn’t receive enough oxygenated blood. Heart Failure : Trimetazidine is used when the heart doesn’t pump as effectively as it should. Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) : It addresses narrowing of blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to the rest of the body. Trimetazidine inhibits fatty acid metabolism and stimulates glucose metabolism, which helps the body use oxygen more efficiently. This action relieves chest pain caused by blocked blood vessels
